1455 Arrest Warrants Against Suspects of Corruption

The Public Integrity Commission in Iraq issued 1455 arrest warrants against persons involved in foreign, fraud, embezzlement and exploiting their occupational positions. The warrants were issued between January and July 2009. Of these, 615 judicial orders were executed, while 814 persons are detained for investigation purpose, and 310 cases were referred to a specialized court after completion of administrative and judicial investigation.
