Qatar Accedes to the UN Convention for Combating Organized Crime

The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani issued on April 5, 2009 the Decree No. 10 of 2009 approving Qatar's accession to the UN Convention for Combating Organized Crime Across National Borders of the year 2000. However, the Decree registered Qatar's reservation on the provisions of clause "2" of article "35" pertaining to referring the dispute to international arbitration and to the International Court of Justice whose decisions have the power of law.
