Workshop "Enhancing the role of governance cells in preventing corruption" in Tunisia

Tunis, Tunisia, 11/7/2024 - 11/7/2024

Organized by: UNDP ACIAC and UNDP Tunisia

In collaboration with the General Directorate of Governance and Corruption Prevention at the Presidency of the Government of Tunisia, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) organized a national workshop titled "Enhancing the Role of Governance Cells in the Prevention Corruption" in Tunis on 7 November 2024, with the support of the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in the framework of its regional partnership with UNDP on anti-corruption and integrity in the Arab countries.

The overall aim of the workshop is to advance the implementation of the sectoral corruption risk management methodology that is being implemented in Tunisia in the health, water, and transportation sectors. Participants in the workshop include heads and senior representative from Governance Cells in ministries, regional administrations and public institutions concerned with the health, water, and transport sectors, as well as from other sectors interested in learning from this experience and adopting this methodology.

The workshop aims to provide an interactive space to identify good practices to implement the corruption risk management methodology in health, water, transport and beyond, while focusing on the role of technology in facilitating this work and linking it to governance and corruption prevention reforms across the public sector. These exchanges will be further enriched with an initial discussion with civil society and the private sector that will be organized on 8 and 9 November 2024 with the aim of exploring avenues for societal partnerships on the overall governance agenda, with focus on collaboration to prevent corruption in the health, water and transport sectors.
