Workshop "Towards a Specialized Methodology for Reviewing Legal Texts to Mitigate Corruption Risks"
Lebanon,
5/30/2023 - 6/1/2023
Organized by: UNDP ACIAC
The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) in Lebanon is carrying out the implementation of its first action plan for 2023-2024 emanating from the capacity development report that it had developed with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in the framework of its regional partnership with the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) on Anti-Corruption and Integrity in the Arab Countries (ACIAC). Various international development partners are supporting this important reform effort, in a coordinated manner, including UNDP through its Country Office and Regional Programme. To this effect, the UNDP is organizing a workshop titled “Towards a Specialized Methodology for Reviewing Legal Texts to Mitigate Corruption Risks” over a period of three days starting on 30 May and ending on 1 June 2023. With the support of KOICA, and in cooperation with the Arab Anti-Corruption and Integrity Network (ACINET), which the NACC has joined earlier this year, this workshop serves the effort to support the implementation of the third component of the NACC action plan related to developing its capacities on monitoring and evaluation, and in the case of this workshop, specifically in relation to analyzing corruption risks in legal texts.
