Deepening cooperation with the Jordanian Integrity and Anti-corruption Commission

Amman, Jordan, 2/13/2022 - 2/16/2022

Organized by:

UNDP's regional team on Anti-Corruption and Integrity in the Arab Countries (ACIAC) in cooperation with the Jordanian Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission (JIACC) completed a mission to the Hashmite Kingdom of Jordan between 13 and 16 February 2022. The mission provided both counterparts with an opportunity to strengthen their cooperation through consultation meetings with the head of the commission and a number of senior officials, and then continue the work on assessing the needs of the commission in view of developing its capacities in light of the Jordanian law and the national anti-corruption strategy (2020-2025). Throughout the mission, the regional team reviewed the work mechanisms of the commission’s directorates and organizational units and discussed potential areas of development to these mechanisms, in addition to developing the human and technological resources related to them. This mission coincided with the initiation of a new “trial” organizational structure by the commission, through which it aspires to improve its work and create specialized organizational units to achieve this goal. Following the mission, the regional team is expected to provide the board with a detailed report showing the results of the meetings and putting forward development ideas for the commission’s work according to international experiences and best practices in the field of anti-corruption and integrity
