Beirut, Republic of Lebanon, 7/3/2013 - 7/3/2013

Organized by: UNDP-ACIAC

UNDP’s Regional Project on Anti-Corruption and Integrity in the Arab Countries organized a regional focus group meeting on 3 July 2013 in Beirut, Republic of Lebanon. The meeting falls within the framework of current efforts to integrate anti-corruption issues in various training and educational programmes in the region and aims to progress the work on establishing a course on "anti-corruption in business transactions" for law schools in the region. Since the group's last meeting, a draft outline for the course has been developed. The meeting thus discussed and adopted the different components of the course outline as well as shared insights on the practical aspects of the implementation of the course by law faculties in the region. Participants included senior representatives of leading law faculties from the region as well as prominent regional and international experts.
