ACINET participation in the 6th Annual Conference and the General Meeting of the International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities

The Arab Anti-Corruption and Integrity Network (ACINET) participated in the 6th Annual Conference and the General Meeting of the International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities (IAACA) which took place on 4-7 October 2012 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Participants exchanged updates about their respective efforts and exchanged experiences and expertise to help enrich the global debate on technical assistance and information exchange as envisaged under Chapter VI of the UN Convention against Corruption (UNCAC). The event also provided valuable opportunities for ACINET members to conduct bilateral meetings with anti-corruption policy makers and practitioners from all across the world and allowed the identification of peer learning opportunities for the Arab region. The participating ACINET delegation, which was supported by UNDP's regional project on Anti-Corruption and Integrity in Arab Countries (ACIAC) also held a side meeting to discuss work progress and prospective activities.
