Workshop on the “Palestinian National Anti-Corruption Strategy in the light of comparative experiences from the Arab Region and the world”

Our project organized a workshop on the “Palestinian National Anti-Corruption Strategy in the light of comparative experiences from the Arab Region and the world” on June 20 -21, 2012 in Amman (Jordan) in cooperation of the Jordanian Anti-Corruption Commission and the Palestinian Anti-Corruption Commission. Participants included high level representatives from different Palestinian institutions and ministries involved in fighting corruption and representatives from civil Palestinian civil society as well as experts from Arab countries and partner countries and representatives of regional and international organizations. This workshop gave participants the opportunity to engage in focused discussions on national anti-corruption strategies in the light of international standards and good practices and lessons learned from comparative experiences, and identified ways in which the Palestinian experience can be enriched in this area. And the workshop contributed to the elaboration of specific suggestions to strengthen the Palestinian efforts in designing, implementing and monitoring of a comprehensive national anti-corruption strategy.
