High-Level Regional Conference on the “Role of National Justice Authorities in the Implementation of the UN Convention Against Corruption”

Organized by: UNDP ACIAC in cooperation with the Jordanian Anti-Corruption Commission

The Anti-Corruption and Integrity Network (ACINET) organized in partnership with our program a Regional High-Level Conference on “The role of National Justice Authorities and the Implementation of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption” on June 25th -26th 2012 in Amman, Jordan under the patronage of H.E the Prime Minister of Jordan Dr. Fayez Tarawneh and with the support of the Jordanian Anti- Corruption Commission (JACC). Participants included Ministers of Justice, heads of Anti-Corruption Agencies, Attorney Generals, Judges and other senior officials from Arab countries, in addition to prominent experts and representatives from civil society, as well as from partner countries and regional and international organizations. The conference facilitated the exchange of expertise and experiences between participants and identified avenues for cooperation in this filed, it also contributed to strengthening the rule of law in the region and to enhance the ability of stakeholders to identify specific gaps in the implementation of the convention and related technical assistance needs.
